THE BRAES OF THE CARSE CONSERVATION GROUP AGM
Wednesday 28TH November at 7.30pm
Guardswell Farm Kinnaird PH14 9QZ
As well as the normal AGM updates including updates on local planning matters, this year we are pleased to welcome Fiona Guest as our guest speaker. For those that do not know about Scotia Seeds, Fiona & Giles started in 1995 growing 40 acres of wildflower crops at Mavisbank. The result has been the conversion of a small intensively farmed site into an oasis for wildlife that is at the forefront of native seed production and science in Europe. Their wildflower meadows are attracting large variety of insects including bees, butterflies as moths. Fiona’s talk will be on the many ways that growing wild seed has improved the ecology at Mavisbank.
The winner will also be announced for the BCCG Excellence in Design Award, which recognises the importance of innovative and sympathetic design in our largely unspoilt Braes area.
After the meeting there will also be a chance over a cup of tea or coffee to have a chat with your locally area representative.
Both Members and non-members are very welcome.
